Fall Drive-in Fundraiser Safety

We are following Alameda County Health orders for vehicle based gatherings

The following measures will be in place at the Drive-In fundraiser event

  • Cars will be parked at least 6 feet apart

  • Masks will be required anytime you are outside of your car

  • Check-in will be contactless. You will receive check in instructions via email at least 1 week prior to the event.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I need to leave my car?

There will be no reason you need to leave your car at any point if you do not choose to. A packet of check in materials will be placed on your windshield during check in.  Directions for check in will be provided via email at least one week prior to the event.

Will there be bathrooms available?

Yes bathrooms will be available. Masks will be required anytime you are outside of your vehicle.

Can I sit outside my car?

You are able to sit outside of your vehicle. Masks must be worn and you must stay within the limits of the parking space your vehicle is occupying. 

Will we be showing a movie?

No, This event is a live presentation by the Next Step team. You will be able to see the presenters on a large blow up screen.

How will we be able to hear?

We will be transmitting via an FM radio station. If you have a battery operated radio, we suggest using that over your car radio, but you can also use your car radio. The FM channel is 97.1 but this channel is subject to change. 

Is dinner provided?

We have contracted with the Alameda County Fairgrounds to offer a pre-order car-friendly meal of

tri-tip, rancho beans, and mac and cheese. Meals are $30 each. To order, please email

ellen@next-step.org. We will provide snacks to all attendees. 

Can children attend this event?

While the event will not be tailored toward children, you are welcome to bring your children. Be sure to bring activities for your kids as leaving your car and parking space will be discouraged to maintain the safety of all guests. 

This is event is free, but will I be asked to give money during the presentation?

This is Next Step's largest fundraiser of the year. While you are not required to give a donation, we hope that you will prayerfully consider supporting our ministry in whatever way you can after you hear our presentation. 

What happens if it rains?

The event will be rescheduled if rain is in the forecast. All registrants will be notified via email and phone if this is the case. 

Will facemasks be required?

Yes, anytime you have your windows rolled down or are outside of your car, you and anyone else over the age of 2 will be required to wear a facemask or face covering.

How many people can I bring with me?

You can bring as many as legally fit in your vehicle. There must be seat-belts for all passengers. The event is free to attend so if you have more guests than fit in your vehicle, you can register another vehicle. Please make sure that those in your car are only members of your immediate household. If you have friends outside of your household who want to attend, please have them register separately in another vehicle.
